Our good friend, Jenny (Alex’s Mom), reads to Liam and Alex on Liam’s new ‘big boy’ bed. Yes, Liam just got a haircut.

After the theft of my lighting equipment (& raincoat), I felt the need to elevate my mood. Normally, I’d just post this to Liam’s World, but after this morning it’s going up here.

That’s Liam between his cousins (l-r), Declan & Braxton.
Liam’s Halloween in RI
Liam had a blast with his cousins this halloween in RI. The neighborhood was great - lotsa kids, and houses open. Much more to come, though we’ll probably post it to Liam’s World.

New Project
These photos are part of a new personal project that I’m beginning. I referred to this project while ruminating about using medium format.

The Rock & Roll Lifestyle of a Guitar Maker
We got back early Saturday afternoon. The trip was a complete blast. Jim Normandy rocks! The club was great. The band was great. Lighting was a bitch, but I got some good shots. While it’s all rock and roll, it’s not always glamorous. The drive was long. We ate fast food and drank bad coffee, and got stuck in horrendous traffic both ways. And one of my favorite shots of the night came when Jim was doing business in his “office”.
(Yup, in the truck in the back parking lot. You do what you gotta do.)
More shots after the jump.
Backstage passes, all-access, and all that
I’ve been hired by Jim Normandy of Normandy GuitarsĀ® to accompany him up to Tacoma to photograph backstage and the show of Duff McKagan’s Loaded. I remember Duff mostly from his time in Guns & Roses, and Velvet Revolver.
Should be a great gig. More later.
